Sundance Film Festival Part 1
Our first time in Utah and aside from the feeling of isolation, blandness, and utter nothingness out there, the Utahans(?) have some of the finest snow I've ever touched.
So true to form, we spent some time snowboarding and skiing. The snow was beautiful against the red rocks. The condo we stayed in was comfy and cozy. The sky was as blue and clear as the waters around Hawaii. The air was super crisp and clear.
We stayed in the Olympic town of Park City and you could so totally tell it was recently built. Everything was so new and well thought out. You could even ski and snowboard right into town with Park City's ski lifts running thru the city.
Utah is pristine. It seems almost untouched. Its beauty was awesome right until you settled into the surroundings, then you realized . . .
Cold air + dry air + high altitudes meant static everything and light headiness. At least for me, I found myself out of breath just walking up a slight incline.
Part 2 to come soon (if plankton can get those damn photos off his phone). Photos include a semi-night out on the town and talk about my favorite movie this year so far from the festival; Michel Gondry's Science of Sleep.
more pictures after the jump

More to come!
