A Sonic Alphabet

Takeluma

An installation that converts people's speech into a visual pattern using a phonetic writing system for representing sounds in English.

The shapes of the sounds intend to convey a hidden meaning, giving rise to a kinesthetic response, for example some words can feel sharp or smooth depending on how they were enunciated.
