Hyposurface Is A 3D Wall
It may be old (2003) but the Hyposurface wall is still mesmerizing people every time it's demoed. Words fail when I try and describe it so just imagine a wall of lights that dynamically changes shape, like a sentient organism. Their website also has a couple quick videos. I implore you to watch.

man, this wall is a total trip. I can imagine this in a club or bar, synced with music.

WOW, although this is old it's still ultra cool.
I have to say that I agree with Jim C. This would kick some serious butt in a club or similar "entertainment" environment.
