See My Bear Feet?

Now that the bear feet have your attention. I want to tell you about a new documentary made by the BBC called Earth.

Filmed over a period of 5 years, it follows the lives of polar bears in the Arctic, elephants in the Kalahari, and a humpback whale in the deep blue oceans. The film takes you thru every trial and tribulation from finding food, raising babies, and the changing environment because of humans. Narrated by Captain Picard Patrick Stewart, Earth is sure to open eyes and rip off blindfolds to those oblivious to what's happening.

It's playing now in the U.K. so if you have a few quids and hours, give it a watch. I hope the film comes to the U.S.

I have heard about this. It sounds gorgeous. Can't wait to watch it. I love the epic documentary style that's becoming so popular these days.

why oh why oh why have picard as the narrator? Planet earth was done by a guy called david attenborough, they really really should have used him. Stewart suits more of an apocalyptic, aliens attacking, mutants rising kind of text; not potraying the beauty of the earth.

I agree in part about the lack of Sir David, but Patrick does have a soft side in his voice at times which could work well in this film.

I love the BBC when they make documentaries like this. At least I know my TV license money has gone to good use instead of making more episodes of East Enders!
