Mazda Furai is a Thing of Beauty

Out of all the big auto manufacturers, I am most impressed with what Mazda has done with it's wind inspired concept vehicles. The latest is the Furai which won't officially be unveiled til' the Detroit Auto Show but I like early surprises.

Like it's brothers the Taiki, Hakaze, Ryuga, and Nagare; the Furai has a wind carved body but injects a HUGE load of performance with a 450 horsepower rotary engine. You'd be amiss to think it's just another gas guzzler because this beauty runs on pure E100 ethanol - clean burning and Earth friendly.

Isn't it funny that a few years back most Mazda designs were truly awful. Now they are able to produce a masterpiece like this.

How Very True! Mazda DID have some of thee worst concept and production designs... and yet now the sculpting and execution is simply Suberb. Mazda's Californa Design studio has really done its homework and has fully become a force to recon with - the American love of the Automobile shows well through the Company's that call Their Design Houses Home in America. Europe and Asia are Well represented in this as well. Now lets hope these designs make it to OUR roads very soon!
Wave

Not bad, but the front end is a terrible shape, made somewhat worse by the needlessly large Mazda logo. Reminds me of the horrible, dinner-plate sized Infinity logo they put on the original Q45's.
