U.S. Olympic Gear A Snoozer

Us-Olympic-Uniform

Okay I totally understand why the U.S. Olympic committee chose Ralph Lauren to design the team's uniforms. Lauren after all, is the epitome of American style, design, and sportswear but GOD, I feel like hitting the snooze button a couple of times until I wake up to something more exciting. This reads like American douche.

Blah, I guess if I had to choose a famous American fashion conglomerate brand, it would be Calvin Klein. At least they're doing some really interesting things with textiles and form.

you're just fortunate those hacks at Roots aren't designing the outfits you all will be sporting in Beijing this summer.
I kinda like that the LIfschitz tennis sweaters have a neck border that echoes a medal ribbon... and the Chariots of Fire theme actually seems quite appropriate. Tho too bad it's not alot more towards RLX and Polo Sport, and abit less like Outlet.
Oh well, at least it's not Hilfiger!

I adore Ralph but this is sad. They look so 80's prep boys. Where is the edge?

I don't consider myself a fashionista by far, but these guys look like a pair of creepy guys dressed up in school uniforms. A sweater vest, seriously?! I'm with you - expecting to see more forward-thinking fabrics... not cotton. Nothing says, "I like to get sweaty and stay that way" like cotton does.
