Ive, Eve, Wall-E

Walleiveeve

I'm as excited for Pixar's upcoming "Wall-E" as I was for Nemo and trust me - thats some kind of inhuman excitement. Already some interesting tidbits are leaking out, sure to be good filler material for DVD and Blu-ray extras.

Did you know Eve was designed by none other than golden boy Jonathan Ive? Yes the man is pretty much responsible for the white and clean aesthetic we see Apple parading today. Knowing that, it's not too hard to see how very Apple'ish Eve looks.

Another interesting factoid is how protective Steve Jobs was. Ive was given specific directions not to be too revealing about Apple's future design directions. Hmm, I wonder what those fruit-heads are planning. As a consolation we at least know what an Apple designed robot would look like.

After seeing this movie, I deduced two things: WALL-E is like Windows (minus the Apple startup noise) - it gets the job done, but has some issues. EVE is like OS X - gets the job done, but ends up bonding with WA... erm, Windows.
