Goodbye innocence

Shs Safari Man

Shs Safari Wom

Great ad campaign for SHS clothing. It may be time to grow up but that doesn't mean not having any fun.

These photos are gorgeous and witty so it's a shame that no one considered the colonialist/racist implications of them, or did but sacrificed good taste in the name of fashion.

i look at the photos as recreations of what one might see from a safari in the early 20th century, or even later than that. think theodore roosevelt and/or hemingway. what is so racist bout it? they are not portrayed in a negative light, but as what they would be in a photo like this, guides.

what if this were a fishing photo and the people holding up the fish were non-white, but wearing what a fisherman would wear....would that be racist too? i don't think so.

Thank you! Saying these photos are racist is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
