Don't Cry Baby Girl

The fashion press was up in arms earlier this week when model August Tomasuite walked down the runway with tears streaming down her face during the Jil Sander show. Was it part of the presentation? Was it her shoes? Was it some underlying emotional problem reflective of the industry as a whole? It didn't help that Jil Sander's publicist Pierre Rougier refused to even acknowledge her tears even after rewatching the video. Conspiracy?

The model speaks out herself claiming it wasn't her shoes or emotional distress. It was just the intense lights and flashes from hungry photographers. Yea, I halfway believe it but then again, I've never been the "deer in headlights" so who knows how my eyes would react. It goes without saying, her emotional display has landed her a spot in the public and press. Models are usually stone cold so to see someone so sweet and innocent looking in tears reconnects her humanity with us common folk. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Auguste soon.

You don't cry out of your tear ducts like that from bright lights.

Maybe she was just really tired... Ya know, like she just yawned.
Maybe not..

She probably just got perfume or something silly in her eyes :P
