Yohji Yamamoto Files For Bankruptcy

Yohji-Yamamoto1.jpg

Say it ain't so! It's the end of an era! Sadly it's true. The economy is really kicking companies in the nads. It doesn't matter how established or successful you are, such is the case with Yohji Yamamoto known as the modern quintessential Japanese aesthetic. Somehow they've amassed a debt close to 67 million dollars which is more than the value of the company.

Meanwhile Japanese companies providing moderately priced clothes like UNIQLO are thriving. All Yamamoto needs to do is drop his prices. I mean seriously - they have a pair of silk boxers for $1,200. COM'ON!

Fortunately Japan has laws for bankruptcy protection so the company will continue to operate as if they still have all the money in the world but under the watchful eye of Japan's money lord.

And here I am trying to launch a menswear line. Signs are not good. Damn economy!

oh my god! no!
I love Yohji Yamamoto's style, sadly I have no money to actually afford anything he does.

I want a tailored suit by him xD
