Cock Climbing

I apologize for the title but I had to. See, a friend sent me this link and the title describes it to the tee. A wall full of illuminated condoms fully erect. Don't turn away tho, there's artistic merit here. It's just one of many pieces on display at the "Sex in Design/Design in Sex" exhibition. Everything from dildos, butt plugs, to very unique urinals. Where might one see this? At the Museum of Sex in New York City of course.
Thanks Jeff!

Planet Nibiru
A reptilian race from the planet Nibiru came to Earth in search of minerals? They carried out hybridization experiments which almost all life here descend from? Sounds crazy but throughout history, ancient cultures pass on similar stories. Cultures that had no contact with each other yet has similar lores.

David Beckham Needs Puma Speed Legs
Found this amazing 2008 'Until Then' ad on the Puma Blog. If soccer (football) were played like this, I'd bet more Americans would be into it. Where can I get me a set of Puma Speed Legs?

Battle On The High Seas

Did you know there's a war off the coast of Antarctica? Between Japan's whaling fleet and environmentalists. There's been a worldwide whaling ban since 1986 but Japan hunts 1000 whales annually in the name of science which skirts the treaty.
The latest show down involves environmentalists chasing down the whaling ships and boarding them. Japan has declared it an act if piracy while the environmentalists claim they're being held hostage. Australia is doing its best to mediate but with the whaling ban ending in a few years, it seems no immediate resolution is in sight.
So what do you think? Japan views whaling as a cultural right while the rest of the world sees it as a conservation issue.

MacBook Air is Actually Ultra Thin
Alright here's my prediction. The latest MacBook is so thin, it's newspaper thin. Papercuts; careful now.
Okay actually it's just a clever ad by the Advertising School in New York but clever nonetheless.

Kill The Pig If You Want The Monies

Designer Derrick Wang finds it amusing we smash open pig shaped money bins. Although the etymology is up for debate (something about middle English), we've all grown accustomed to it. Derrick's version of the piggy bank reminds you you're not only hurting your bank account, but also this poor pig whom spills his guts when you smash him. Hit the jump if you wanna see the aftermath. SICK!

You're Way Too Needy

Needies are interactive plush dolls inspired by codependent, high-maintenance relationships. Totally attention-starved, they compete with each other for human affection -- or "getting touch," as they like to say.
When you give Needies touch (by hugging and squeezing them), they will return your kindness with songs and shameless flattery. If one Needie is getting more "touch" while others are neglected, the unloved Needies will conspire to take its place. I'm SERIOUS.
Great, yet another thing in my life that wants it all. Seen it on the Presurfer.

A Growling Place

One girl's amazing adventure begins in her bedroom, on the night that the wind blows her bear away. In vivid dreamscapes, little Aril follows after her bear with the help of a sparrow, through the air and over land and water, until she finds herself in "a growling place," in the company of bears!
I know it's a children's book but you've got to read it. I swear it's more visceral and surreal than even the most complex art films. There's something sublime about innocence when it's laid out to bare. It reignites old imagination flames you thought were put out long ago.

It's Not Nice To Steal Alligators

A brood of rare albino alligators were stolen from a zoo in Brazil over the weekend. There were no signs of break-ins so officials think it may be an inside job. Each one of the baby alligators could fetch upwards of $10k on the black market.
Albino alligators are extremely rare because most die in the wild since they lose their camo. Unfortunately it seems this brood isn't going to do well in captivity either. They could end up as exotic pets or the skin of some hot shoe or purse.
Return them now!

Kid Explains How To Combat Global Warming
The title says it all. I have no idea where this came from. Some reader just emailed it to me and I think it's brilliant. If you know where it's from, please let me know so I can give due credit.

Playing With Sperm
OMG, I've been wanting to use that title since day one of this blog. Hell I even wanted it as a tagline but alas, it didn't fit.
Thank my lucky stars some mad typographist by the name of Oded Ezer made it possible. What you see here is his project called Typosperma. The idea is to combine sperm and type into a biological design. Weird but if I can get them to spell out my name then I'm all for it.

Big Ass Cat Paw

Who doesn't want one?!?! It's so brilliant, I wish I would have thought of it first. It's pretty realistic (for a cartoon cat), even right down to the pink paw pads. Unfortunately no claws tho. Sorry frat boys. I know what you were thinking.
No idea where to buy one but I saw it at TFTS. Hit the jump for another pic.

Check Your Back

This resplendently brilliant photo published in Britain's Daily Mail immediately caught my eye as I skimmed this morning's news feeds. Marine biologist Trey Snow hopped on his kayak hoping to catch a glimpse of the illusive great white shark but to his surprise, a HUGE great white was stalking him.
Fortunately the shark figured out Troy's seal like silhouette was not food and the hunt quickly changed into playful curiosity. A reminder although sharks are feared, most never attack humans. They have more to fear from us.

Adopt Me A Misio

I'm interested in this new project called Misio which asks you to adopt a crochet doll complete with his/her own name and bio. The idea is you as the parent document Misio's travels akin to the whole travel gnome thing and post it to the Misio website. The community of Misio parents, whom are from all around the world, can see where all the Misios have been.
It costs $60 to adopt and there are only a handful left. Will someone adopt one for me? I'd love to have a Misio to take on adventures.

Miko Gets A New Bowl

My dog Miko is spoiled. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you. I don't care tho. I'm going to take it to the next level and get him this beautiful bowl called Coco's China. I mean white porcelain on a walnut base? That is gorgeous and for $99 it better be.

Where The Wild Things Are 2nd Image

Here's a new image from Spike Jonze's "Where The Wild Things Are". I first wrote about it many moons ago and it seems I'm not the only one super excited about this remake.
Alas October 2008 seems so far away.
